May 24 | Kit DesLauriers: Mother’s Day Ritual

One year I was buying some flowers for our summer flower pots at our house on a day that happened to be Mother’s Day and saw a mother at the greenhouse/nursery with her children picking out the same for themselves. This was a few years before I became a mother and I made a mental note that someday that would be what I wanted to do on Mother’s Day myself with my kids.  Now I am a mom and this May I hightailed it home from an Alaska ski adventure in time to go to the greenhouse with my girls. Forget that it has snowed half the days since then and we move the flowers inside every night!  When the temps get into the 40’s and 50’s we give them some fresh air and water them together with Grace’s own watering can.  Summer will be here soon.

i really enjoyed the mothers day ritual with the goddess with my mother and my husbands mother both gone it was nice to celabrate the day with the mother of us all and still give our motheres recognition bb rev shadow
